I came across this pattern: http://www.dsquilts.com/uploads/ScottieDogPattern.pdf and thought it was super cute. So I used some extra fabric and I figured I'd try to make it. The little pup I made isn't perfect, but I think I did an okay job for a first attempt.

At the end of March I'm going to start a new quilt. I'm taking another one of Mary's classes at Sew to Speak. I bought the Single Girl Quilt Pattern a long time ago with the goal of learning how to quilt at some point. The other day I found this pattern and looked at it. There are a ton of directions and I started to feel a little overwhelmed. Later on that day, I checked the upcoming class list at Sew to Speak & found out they were going to have a class for the very same quilt I was previously looking at. Since the class isn't full, I decided to sign up and learn how to make the quilt that I'm still pretty sure is above my skill level. Here is a picture of some of the fabric I plan on using. I'm going big with this quilt. I plan on using it on my bed, so I'm going to try to make a queen size version of it. (yikes!)

Even though I haven't been posting, I have been getting my craft on! Unfortunately, the project I'm working on will need to stay top secret for awhile because it's actually going to be a gift. I promise I'll post more about this crafty adventure in the future. But for now, I can only post one black and white photo.
